Brian spent the day gutting more of the kitchen and he made a lot of progress! He tore out most of the wall between the kitchen and living room, but kept the studs in place until we confirm that this is not a load bearing wall. He also started tearing out the laminate flooring that was in the kitchen. In the meantime we have been calling electricians, plumbers, hardwood floor professionals, cabinet installation professionals, and general contractors to get quotes for everything. This has taken forever already and people are nearly always late for their appointments to see the house! After work I went by and helped Brian remove some of the rubble from the wall…whew, a full day of work plus evenings working on the renovation make for long days!
